Wah sorry for being lazy about updating! Forgot to post that I’m out of town for the entire month of April and the first half of May! T^T
I’ve been busy having noodle lunches with Rilakkuma!
Which means I’ll only be online and updating sporadically during that time, though I’ll try to take more photos – I’ve been neglecting my Rilakkuma Lifestyle tumblr more than I’d like recently.
Things are getting pretty busy around here! My sister is doing a study abroad program in Japan this summer, so I’ll be tagging along with her for a week in Japan! I’m so excited; it’ll be my first time at a real standing Rilakkuma Store!!
In terms of recent news, I finally got my Fukuoka 3rd Anniversary Rilakkuma (and Korilakkuma!) plushies in the mail – BUT! Sadly, they arrived at my house the day I flew out, so no pictures of them until I get back home! And of course, I am still waiting around for the Lawson x Aloha Rilakkuma plushie – June seems so far away!

Hooray! A teddy bear and chocolates – how appropriate for Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day brings up a lot of silly memories for me. When I was in high school, my boyfriend at the time gave me a dozen roses and a teddy bear – attached to the teddy bear was a piece of lettuce and a note that said “Lettuce be together” hahahahaha.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Valentine’s Day – if not for love/romance, then definitely for the chocolate and candy!
Knowing how much I love Rilakkuma, my parents got my sister and I these Rilakkuma Lifestyle themed tumblers from Tervis for Christmas!
Based on “Rilakkuma cooks ramen.”
Tervises are really durable tumblers that maintain temperature really well – and they don’t leave rings for a happy, coaster-free living. Also, they’re pretty much indestructible.
My mom used Tervis’ customize option where you can send them a picture, and they’ll stick it in a Tervis for a cute, personalized gift hahaha. And sadly, as much as I rave about Tervis in person and online, I’m not actually affiliated with them… but I wish.
I use my new Rilakkuma Lifestyle Tervis for hot tea almost every day now – though how fitting would it be if it were specifically Enherb Rilakkuma tea?

Rilakkuma’s Creation of Adam
I mentioned earlier that I wanted to see what Rilakkuma would look like in a masterpiece, so tonight’s Lifestyle photo features the first of Rilakkuma in a work of art – Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Tried to Google and reverse image search to see if I could find the original, and didn’t have any luck, but found another cute variation on this Flickr. Anyway, what a coincidence – a few days ago, my sister and I were thinking that this kind of thing might be a good idea for the Rilakkuma Lifestyle tumblr: inserting Rilakkuma into famous works of art! We actually thought of The Scream as a great way to start, too. Maybe there will be some artful Rilakkuma photos to come?
This is the Rilakkuma plushie seen in every one of the Rilakkuma Lifestyle photos (with the exception of user submissions). He’s the star!
He’s my first Rilakkuma plushie – he was a gift from my parents when I graduated from Duke this past spring. I take him with me wherever I can.
With the help of my sister, my parents purchased him from a Hawaiian seller. At the time, I didn’t really know too much about Rilakkuma, just a few gifs I saw on tumblr. Look how far we’ve come!
